The Interviews presented in this book were originally compiled by Bob Cunningham, Bob Simons, Jim McKinney and Robert Smith for Out of the Sun, an F-16 promotional movie produced by the Marketing and Multimedia departments of General Dynamics Fort Worth Division. Segments of the interviews used in the movie dealt mainly with fighter design philosophy, leaving unseen and unheard much that was interesting in the way of action and historical color. Interviewed were actual "aces" of aerial combat, from World War I through Vietnam. Here then are the other parts of the original interviews - the aces' exciting, sometimes poignant, personal accounts of war in the air. (Hardcover)
